I have ridden this Friesian mare a few times, she is athletic and beautiful. She is more forward than most Friesians and has an active canter. She was bred and raised by Pam Clapp in New York at Starlit Ridge Farm. This is the same stable that Zeppelin, a young Friesian I started under saddle last year, was born at. Here is Sophia's information: "Sophia, born on June 13, 2005, is full-papered Stam Line 135 mare by Teade 392, out of three-time first premie Ster mare, Titia M. Sophia's sister, Godiva received a 1st-premie Grand Champion at the Woodstock, CT, keur in 2005!Sophia is developing into a gorgeous mare. She is currently 15.1 hands, but we expect her to mature out around 15.2 hands. She has excellent confirmation and a long, flowing mane and tail. She has "the look". She has inherited her sire's majestic build and flowing trot and her mother's beautiful, refined head. She has a very loving personality. She has excellent ground manners, has been long-lined extensively and has been started under saddle. She is a very forward mover and is an excellent english pleasure or dressage prospect. She would make a great start or addition to any serious breeding program." -Pam Clapp Click here for more photos and how to contact her owner.
