Visit to Lost Art Spanish Horses

Today I spent all day with Megan Reed, owner of Lost Art Spanish Horses in Groveland, Florida. Click here to visit their website: http://www.lostartspanishhorses.info/ Her husband Tom Reed is the head trainer of Medieval Times in Orlando, FL. Megan was very hospitable and showed me all their Andalusian horses, the broodmares, stallions, and young horses. In the afternoon I got to see her daughter Chelsea ride an amazing Andalusian stallion who is schooling at Prix St. Georges. He has an amazing extended trot for an Andalusian, any breed for that matter. She also rode a young Andalusian mare that they had just started under saddle. Megan showed me Tucson LA, one of their stallions. She worked him this afternoon so I could see him go and then offered to let me ride him. Luckily I had all my riding gear, always be prepared-you never know when you will get the chance to ride an Andalusian stallion! He has a baroque stride with a lot of energy. Here are some pictures of me riding him, I had a blast! If you want to see more pictures of Tucson LA click here to see a photogallery done by professional photographer Cheri Prill.http://cheriprill.smugmug.com/Andalusians-Lusitanos/Lost-Art-LLC/Tuscon-LA/5285508_fXdMA#322369898_5keWu I completed my day with a visit to Medieval Times. There was a beautiful Friesian in the show ridden by the King and also an Andalusian that caught my fancy, a dapple grey with black points that showed some flying changes and Spanish walk.
